Binseng Wang earned his doctor of science degree (Sc.D.) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), his certified clinical engineer (CCE) from the Int'l Certification Commission on Clinical Engineering and Biomedical Technology (ICC), and his certified Quality Management System (QMS) Provisional Auditor from the Registrar Accreditation Board (RAB). 

He worked over 20 years in Brazil, first at the State University of Campinas, where he was a faculty member and the founder and first director of the Center for Biomedical Engineering (CEB), later designated a collaborating center of the World Health Organization (WHO). Later, he served as Special Advisor on Equipment to the Secretary of Health of Sao Paulo State, Brazil, where he established a comprehensive policy for technology planning, management, and service. He was a visiting scientist at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Bethesda MD, for two years, where he developed a method for integrating three-dimensional data obtained from electromagnetic recordings and stimulation with MRI and PET images of the brain (see articles listed in publications). From 1992 to 2004, he worked for MEDIQ/PRN Life Support Services, Inc., the largest medical equipment rental company in the US, where he was promoted eventually to the position of Vice President, Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs. Since 2004 he has been with ARAMARK Healthcare's Clinical Technology Services, where he is vice president, performance management and regulatory compliance.

He has worked in several Latin American and Caribbean countries as a consultant to PAHO/WHO, World Bank, and Inter-American Development Bank. He has also provided consultation services to manufacturers on design, manufacturing, standards/regulatory compliance, and export opportunities. He is a well-known author and speaker in the fields of medical equipment management, servicing, and regulation.  He is a fellow of the American College of Clinical Engineering (ACCE) and of the American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE).
